Maintaining Your Lash Extensions While on Vacation

Hey sis! If you’re like me, you love vacationing but don’t want to sacrifice your lash extensions in the process. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to maintain your lashes while on vacation! Previously, we discussed how to maintain your skin. We decided to extend the conversation to lashes, and body thanks to the request of our clients. In this blog post, we will discuss some tips for keeping your lash extensions looking good while you’re away.

One of the most important things you can do to maintain your lash extensions is to avoid getting them wet during the first 24-48 hours after installation. Schedule your lash installation/ refill a couple of days before you leave. If you follow this advice and get your lashes wet, it’s not the end of the world. This does not mean you should not take precautions. If not, wait 24 hours before swimming, using saunas, or steam rooms.

If you must get them wet, be sure to use a mild cleanser and pat them dry gently with a microfiber cloth. You should also avoid using oil-based products around your eyes, as this can break down the adhesive bond. No one wants spotty-looking lashes.
